69-Year-Old Craig Bercsa Passes Away After Tragic Car Collision on Slover Avenue near Banana Avenue in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (January 2, 2024) – The Fontana Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal three-vehicle accident that occurred on Slover Avenue as 69-year-old Craig Bercsa, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga. The incident took place on December 21st, at approximately 5:45 p.m. when a northbound Toyota Sienna, attempting to make a left turn onto westbound Slover Avenue, was struck by an eastbound RAM truck. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to collide with a Toyota Tundra near Banana Avenue. Tragically, Craig Bercsa, who was a passenger in the Toyota Sienna, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Two other occupants involved in the collision sustained critical injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Updates on their conditions are currently unavailable. The Fontana Police Major Accident Traffic Investigation Team is actively investigating the cause of this fatal accident and will provide more information as it becomes available.
