Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped by Five Men Near Noida Shopping Mall

A distressing incident unfolded near a shopping mall in Noida, as a 26-year-old woman became a victim of an alleged gang-rape by a group of five men. The local police have successfully apprehended three suspects involved in the heinous crime, while two others, including the main accused who is known to be a local strongman, are still evading arrest.

The incident, which occurred some time back, initially went unreported by the brave survivor due to the fear of the perpetrators, who were described by the police as “dabang” (strong men). However, after being subjected to continuous blackmail and harassment by the accused, the woman gathered the courage to approach the police on December 30 and file a complaint.

The Sector 39 police station promptly registered an FIR on December 30, leading to a thorough investigation. As a result, three of the accused, namely Rajkumar, Aazad, and Vikas, were successfully apprehended. However, two other suspects identified as Ravi and Mehmi are currently at large, and the law enforcement authorities are diligently working towards their arrest.

Following their arrest, the accused individuals were produced before a local court, which subsequently remanded them in judicial custody. This ensures that they remain detained until further legal proceedings take place, ensuring the safety and security of the survivor.
