Waco Police Investigate Homicide After Man Strangles Woman and Posts About It on Facebook

WACO, Texas – In a disturbing incident that has shocked the community, the Waco Police Department is currently engaged in a homicide investigation. Authorities have revealed that a man strangled a woman and took to Facebook to post about the heinous act, according to police sources.

The suspect, Kevin Eugene Reese, has been apprehended and charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

The incident came to light on December 27, 2023, when officers were dispatched to a local hospital to investigate a patient who had arrived at the facility on December 26, 2023, in an unresponsive state.

Tragically, the patient has been identified as 25-year-old Queen Tinisha Louise Brooks, who was subsequently declared brain dead on December 29, 2023.

The Waco Police Department initiated an investigation after discovering a disturbing Facebook post on Reese’s social media account. The post depicted Reese boasting about wrapping his hands around a woman’s neck for Christmas, accompanied by an angry emoji, police officials revealed.

Following a thorough examination of the evidence, law enforcement determined that Reese had indeed strangled Brooks, leading to his subsequent arrest.

This tragic incident marks the 14th homicide investigation in Waco for the year 2023, highlighting the urgent need for continued efforts in combating violence within the community.
