On Saturday morning, officers from the Clarkstown Police arrived at the residence located at 10 Clydesdale Ct. in New City, N.Y. for a welfare check. To their horror, they discovered four deceased individuals.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Watson Morgan (49/M), Ornela Morgan (43/F), and their two sons aged 10 and 12. All four of them had suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations have revealed that Watson Morgan, who served as a sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department, allegedly killed his wife and children before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Watson Morgan had an impressive career in law enforcement, initially starting with the New York Police Department in 2001 before joining the Bronxville force in 2007. Over the years, he climbed the ranks and was promoted to detective in 2014 and then to sergeant in 2016.

The 10-year-old victim attended Laurel Plains Elementary School in Clarkstown, while his older brother was a student at Felix Festa Middle School, as reported by Westchester News 12.

The Clarkstown Central School District sent a heartfelt letter to parents, expressing their condolences and describing the incident as a “tragic loss.” The letter acknowledged the difficulty the school community will face in the coming days and weeks as they try to comprehend the loss of these precious lives.

The investigation into this horrific incident is still ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to gather more information.
