The authorities suspect that the incident involved a murder-suicide, with evidence pointing towards Watson Morgan, a sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department, as the perpetrator.

Clarkstown Police received a welfare check request and promptly dispatched officers to the scene shortly after midnight on Saturday morning. Upon entering the residence, officers were met with a devastating sight — four deceased individuals. Investigating officers have revealed that Watson Morgan, who had served as a sergeant in the Bronxville Police Department, is believed to have committed the heinous act. The evidence suggests that he first took the lives of his wife and two children, before ending his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Watson Morgan, a dedicated law enforcement officer, had an extensive career in the field. He began his service with the New York Police Department in 2001 before joining the Bronxville force in 2007. In recognition of his commitment and skills, he was promoted to the rank of detective in 2014 and further elevated to the position of sergeant in 2016.

Both of the Morgan children were active in their local school community. The 10-year-old attended Laurel Plains Elementary School in Clarkstown, while his older brother was enrolled at Felix Festa Middle School, according to reports by Westchester News 12.

The Clarkstown Central School District, deeply saddened by the tragedy, sent a heartfelt letter to parents, acknowledging the immense loss that the incident represents. The letter expressed the challenging times ahead for the school community as they grapple with the incomprehensible loss of these precious lives.

The investigation into this tragic incident is currently underway, with authorities diligently working to uncover any further details that may shed light on the circumstances leading to this devastating murder-suicide.
