14-Year-Old Arrested for Fatally Shooting Parents and Injuring Sister in California

A devastating incident unfolded in a rural area of California as a 14-year-old boy was taken into custody for allegedly murdering his parents and critically injuring his sister.

The teenager, whose identity remains undisclosed due to his age, contacted the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office to report a violent break-in by unidentified men who subsequently fled in a truck.

However, during the investigation, Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni revealed on Friday that inconsistencies in the boy’s narrative emerged following the shooting that transpired on Wednesday.

“Subsequent evidence indicated that he had concocted the story of a break-in and was responsible for employing multiple weapons to assault his mother, father, and sister,” said Sheriff Zanoni.

The victims were identified as Lue Yang and Se Vang, both aged 37. While their 11-year-old daughter underwent surgery and is expected to survive, their seven-year-old son remained unharmed during the attack.

The suspect, now in juvenile hall, is facing two charges of murder and one of attempted murder.

At present, the sheriff has not disclosed the types of weapons used in the assault or the motive behind such a tragic event.

“This incident carries an immense magnitude of tragedy since two children will grow up without parents due to the actions of their own sibling,” expressed Sheriff Zanoni. “It’s a heart-wrenching situation.”
