New Delhi Woman Allegedly Kidnaps Boy After Being Unable to Have a Child

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old woman from New Delhi allegedly kidnapped a young boy after being unable to conceive a child of her own. The incident took place when the woman spotted the boy playing outside a house during a procession in Mansarovar Park on Christmas Eve.

The accused, identified as Reshma and a resident of Tilak Nagar, had been married for five years but was unable to have a child. Frustrated by her situation, she hatched a plan to kidnap a male child. It was during the Shahidi Diwas procession that she found an opportunity to execute her plan.

Police launched an extensive investigation into the kidnapping after the boy’s father, Pawan Kumar, filed a complaint on December 24. They scanned over 250 CCTV cameras to trace the movements of the woman. The footage revealed a woman taking the child with her, and she constantly changed her route to avoid being identified.

After analyzing the route and modes of transport used by the kidnapper, the police zeroed in on Tilak Nagar and raided Reshma’s residence. They successfully recovered the four-year-old boy and arrested her.

Rohit Meena, DCP Shahdara, stated during the interrogation that Reshma confessed her motive behind the kidnapping. She revealed that she had been desperate to have a child and saw the procession as the perfect opportunity to fulfill her desire. It was also discovered that she is the sister of Heera alias Hau, a known criminal from MS Park.

The incident has left the local community in shock and highlights the emotional turmoil faced by individuals struggling with infertility. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking support and guidance when facing such challenges, rather than resorting to illegal activities.
