A deadly rivalry spiraled out of control in the narrow lanes of northeast Delhi, resulting in a horrifying incident where a 20-year-old man, Mahir, was allegedly stabbed 50 times by an 18-year-old accused, Arman Khan. The incident unfolded against the backdrop of a complex relationship involving Mahir, Arman, and a 21-year-old woman they both knew.

Mahir, who worked at a flex printing shop in Delhi’s Paharganj, found himself entangled in a web of jealousy and resentment. The woman, whom he had befriended on Instagram, was also involved with Arman Khan, the proprietor of a general store. Jealousy brewed within Arman as he discovered a video call between Mahir and the woman, leading to a heated argument. Arman snatched away the woman’s phone, accusing Mahir of interfering in their relationship, as reported by the Times of India. However, it was apparent that the woman had a stronger affinity towards Mahir, which further fueled Arman’s anger and resentment.

Under false pretenses of returning the woman’s phone, Arman allegedly lured Mahir to meet him in Bhagirathi Vihar, located in northeast Delhi. Tragically, upon reaching the designated location, Mahir fell victim to a brutal attack. Arman, along with two other accused individuals named Faisal and Sameer, allegedly stabbed Mahir to death, according to NDTV.

Local residents discovered Mahir’s lifeless body on the road, riddled with multiple stab wounds, and immediately alerted the police. Responding promptly to the distress call, the authorities arrived at the scene. Subsequently, all three accused individuals were apprehended and taken into custody in connection with the murder.

This shocking incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise from rivalries and conflicts. The tragic loss of Mahir’s life highlights the need for swift and effective measures to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of individuals in our communities.
