According to Iowa County Sheriff Michael Peterson, the events unfolded on a Saturday when their communications center received crucial information. A vehicle at a Kwik Trip in Barneveld, Wisconsin, was identified as being involved in a Silver Alert originating from Indiana. The alert indicated that an 11-year-old female had been kidnapped from Wells County, Indiana, and her life was in extreme danger, necessitating immediate medical assistance.

In response, deputies from the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office set out to intercept the vehicle, which was later spotted in the Township of Dodgeville on USH 18/151.

The City of Dodgeville Police Department joined the effort, and both agencies swiftly coordinated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Their coordinated efforts bore fruit as they successfully removed the 11-year-old girl from the custody of her alleged abductors.

The law enforcement operation led to the apprehension of three adults who were identified as suspects in the kidnapping case. The individuals taken into custody were named as Zachary Delozier, a 27-year-old from Edgemont, South Dakota; Sara Gaudino, a 23-year-old also from Rapid City, South Dakota; and Isaiah Schryvers, a 24-year-old from the same location. All three individuals were found to have warrants related to the kidnapping of a minor.
