Woodland Police Department Update

Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST)

The Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST) of the Woodland Police Department, despite being short-staffed due to injuries and vacations during the holiday season, remained committed to serving the community. Throughout the week, HOST made 15 contacts and offered services to eight individuals; however, none accepted the assistance.

In an effort to maintain public safety and cleanliness, HOST also tagged three camps and conducted a cleanup operation on one of them. To ensure the safety of downtown Woodland, HOST carried out six patrols during the week. Furthermore, due to staff shortages, HOST stepped up by covering two additional patrol shifts.
