Family Members Seek Help in Locating Missing Girl in Lawndale
Loved ones are appealing to the public for assistance in finding a young girl who went missing in Lawndale on Wednesday. The missing girl has been identified as Perla Mena, a 16-year-old Hispanic female. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has classified her as an at-risk juvenile.
According to authorities, Mena was last seen at approximately 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the 14000 block of Osage Avenue. Since then, her family has not had any contact with her, sparking concerns about her well-being.
Mena is described as being 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 118 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. When she disappeared, she informed a family member that she might be going on a trip with her school, possibly to the mountains.

Her family is urging anyone who may have spotted her or has information about her whereabouts to come forward. They are particularly concerned due to her at-risk status and the lack of communication since she went missing.
