Man Arrested on Multiple Sexual Abuse Charges in San Bernardino
A 60-year-old man has been arrested on numerous sexual abuse charges in San Bernardino, California, and law enforcement authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying any potential additional victims, according to a statement issued by the San Bernardino Police Department.
Alleged Sexual Assault Incident and Investigation
On October 25, the San Bernardino Police Department responded to a residence after receiving a report of sexual abuse. Officers conducted an initial interview with the victim, who alleged that she had been sexually assaulted by the suspect, later identified as James Donnelly.
Discovery of Additional Victims
As the investigation progressed, law enforcement uncovered two more victims, both male and female, who reported being subjected to crimes committed by Donnelly over a span of seven years. The victims were approximately 10 years old when the alleged sexual abuse began.

Arrest of James Donnelly
On December 23, James Donnelly was apprehended at a local fairground in Southern California while setting up for a New Year’s Eve festival. Donnelly has been employed by traveling carnivals for the past three decades, with the carnivals operating across various states including California, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Colorado.
Potential for Additional Victims
Given the nature of the suspect’s occupation and the carnival’s extensive travel, law enforcement officials are concerned that there may be more victims.
