14-Year-Old Boy Arrested for Allegedly Killing Parents and Injuring Sister in Fresno County
A shocking incident unfolded in a rural community in Fresno County, California, on Wednesday, as a 14-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly killing his parents and severely injuring his 11-year-old sister, according to authorities.
The suspect, whose identity is being withheld due to his age, initially contacted the sheriff’s office to report a break-in and assault on his family in their Miramonte residence. He claimed that the intruder had fled in a truck, shared Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni during a news conference held on Friday.
However, detectives began to notice inconsistencies in the teenager’s story, casting doubts on his claims, as stated by Zanoni.
“Subsequent evidence ultimately revealed that he had fabricated the story of a break-in and was responsible for using multiple weapons to attack his mother, father, and sister,” Zanoni disclosed.

The victims have been identified as Lue Yang and Se Vang, both aged 37. While their daughter underwent surgery for critical injuries and is expected to survive, their 7-year-old son remained unharmed in the assault. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the other sibling is currently under the care of other family members.
The teenage suspect has been apprehended and detained in juvenile hall. He now faces two murder charges and an attempted murder charge, as outlined in a news release by the sheriff’s office on Friday.
The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the case. CNN is actively investigating whether the suspect has legal representation at this time.
Sheriff Zanoni did not provide specific details regarding the cause of death or the weapons used in the attack. Furthermore, authorities have yet to establish a motive behind these tragic killings.
“The magnitude of this tragedy is immense, as two children will have to grow up without their mother and father due to the actions of their own sibling,” the sheriff expressed during the conference.
