The victim, identified as 51-year-old Patricia Kathlean Beglin, was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives investigating the case have since uncovered a potential motive, linking the shooting to an earlier argument over fentanyl pills. The alleged shooter has been identified as 37-year-old Karen Nicole Pollard, an acquaintance of the victim.

Despite efforts to locate Pollard, she remains at large. Authorities have described her as a 5-foot-2 woman weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Law enforcement agencies are urging anyone with information regarding Pollard’s whereabouts to contact them at 703-792-5123. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for any information that leads to Pollard’s arrest and conviction.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with drug disputes and the devastating consequences they can have. Fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid, has been responsible for numerous overdoses and deaths across the country.
