Several animal rights organizations in the United Kingdom are offering a substantial reward for any information that can help solve a tragic shooting incident at a dogfighting event. The incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including an Atlanta man. Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy have jointly pledged $5,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the identification and capture of the culprits involved in the execution-style shooting. Additionally, they are also looking to hold accountable the organizers of the illegal animal fighting event where the incident occurred.

The investigation surrounding the incident reveals that the two victims were brought to a local hospital in Collins, Mississippi, in the back of a pickup truck shortly after midnight on November 26. Unfortunately, Covington County Coroner Chris DaQuila pronounced them dead at 12:40 a.m.

The victims have been identified as 25-year-old D’Andre “Peanut” Ducksworth from Atlanta and 27-year-old Reshun Goudy.

The shooting incident took place on November 25 during a dogfighting event held in the Jones Chapel community. The event attracted a large number of attendees, including individuals from outside Mississippi. However, the exact address, property owner, and organizers of the dogfighting event remain unidentified.

Wayne Pacelle, the president of Animal Wellness Action, strongly condemns dogfighting, highlighting its barbaric nature. He emphasizes that such activities are often interconnected with various other criminal acts such as narcotics trafficking, gambling, and money laundering. In this particular case, the dogfighting event turned into a scene of a double homicide, with suspicions of an execution-style killing. Pacelle urges individuals with knowledge of these appalling crimes against both humans and animals to come forward and provide the necessary information to the sheriff’s office. Apprehending these individuals is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

Jennifer McDonald, the mother of D’Andre Duckworth, has taken to social media platforms, pleading with potential witnesses to step forward and assist the authorities in their investigation of the shooting incident. Despite the presence of numerous potential witnesses, no leads have been reported so far.

If you have any information regarding this fatal shooting incident, please contact the Covington County Sheriff’s Office at 601-765-8281. Your assistance can play a vital role in bringing justice to the victims and preventing further harm.
