Colorado Springs Mother Wanted for Death of Children in Stetson Hills Double Murder

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KXRM) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) announced that a woman suspected of murdering her two children in Colorado Springs is believed to have fled the area on Friday. The search for 35-year-old Kimberlee Singler is currently underway.

Authorities are linking Singler to the killing of her two children and the injury of a third child. Fortunately, the 11-year-old girl who was injured is now safe and receiving care in Colorado Springs.

The tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday, December 19, around 12:30 a.m., when police received a report of a burglary at a condominium. Upon arrival, officers discovered Singler and the 11-year-old girl with injuries. Tragically, the bodies of a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy were also found inside the home.

According to police, Singler is the mother of all three children. Initially, officers treated Singler as a victim of the reported burglary before conducting further investigation.

On December 26, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Singler on multiple charges, including multiple counts of first-degree murder, child abuse, and assault. However, Singler’s current whereabouts remain unknown. She was last seen in Colorado Springs on Saturday.

The court has set a $10 million bond for Singler, and the FBI is assisting in the search. The details of the arrest warrant are currently sealed under court order but are expected to be unsealed at a later time.
