Nagpur, Dec 29 (PTI) – A tragic incident occurred in Imambada area of Nagpur when a college-going girl lost her life and her elder sister suffered serious injuries after a mini-bus collided with their scooter at a traffic signal. The accident took place on Thursday morning, and the bus driver fled the scene, leaving the victims in a critical condition.

The deceased has been identified as Shreya Jeevan Rokde, an 18-year-old resident of Ganesh Nagar. Her sister, Sakshi Rokde, aged 23, is currently receiving treatment at the Government Medical College & Hospital.

Shreya, a first-year student at Raisoni College, and her sister were on their way to college when the unfortunate incident occurred. They had stopped at the traffic signal near Ashok Chowk around 9:20 am, patiently waiting for the signal to turn green. Suddenly, a speeding mini-bus crashed into their scooter from behind, violently throwing them off the vehicle.
