Road Rage in Delhi: Cab Driver Fatally Stabbed by Juveniles in Mehrauli

In a horrific incident that unfolded in south Delhi’s Mehrauli area, a cab driver was brutally stabbed to death by three juveniles in broad daylight. The victim of this senseless act of violence has been identified as Manoj Kumar, a 34-year-old cab driver working for a Gurugram-based BPO company. The unfortunate incident occurred while Kumar was on duty, transporting BPO employees. As he found himself stuck in a traffic block in Mehrauli, three youngsters on a two-wheeler started incessantly honking, demanding space to pass through.

Despite Kumar’s efforts to accommodate their request, the heavy congestion prevented him from maneuvering the vehicle. The situation quickly escalated into a heated argument between the cab driver and the three bike-borne juveniles.

The Fatal Attack

Tragically, the verbal altercation took a deadly turn when one of the scooter riders brandished a knife and mercilessly stabbed Kumar in the chest. The assailants swiftly fled the scene, leaving the cab driver in critical condition. Passersby and witnesses immediately rushed Kumar to Safdarjung Hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending medical staff.

Police Investigation and Detention of the Juveniles

Following the heinous crime, the Delhi Police launched a rigorous investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice. The authorities managed to detain one of the minors involved in the stabbing.
