On Christmas night at approximately 9:45 pm, a Nevada City police officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 49 in Nevada City. Deputies promptly responded to the call and provided assistance. Million Jr. was driving the vehicle, and Lillis was the passenger. Million Jr. was wearing the same attire as seen in the surveillance video from the burglary. Furthermore, he was found in possession of a check made out to him for $2,000, with “tools” noted in the memo. A thorough search of the suspect’s belongings revealed stolen items from the burglary, along with mail believed to be stolen from other victims.

Continuing their investigation, the deputies discovered a property on Holly Davo Place in Grass Valley. In the early hours of the 26th of December 2023, a probation search was conducted at the residence. The search yielded the recovery of additional stolen property, which has been positively identified as belonging to the victims. These items were discovered in a storage container located on the property.

Dustin Million Jr. was subsequently booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on the 25th of December 2023. He faces charges of Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property, with bail set at $50,000. As of the 28th of December 2023, he remains in custody.
