The incident unfolded when Huntsville Police officers attempted to stop the suspect, identified as Jon Evans, aged 48, on Pratt Ave. However, Evans disregarded the officers’ instructions and initiated a brief pursuit. His reckless actions ultimately led to a collision with a Huntsville Police car as well as a utility pole at the intersection of California Street and Wells Ave.
