Rescue Workers Find Bodies of 35-Year-Old Woman and 3 Girls Missing After Boat Capsized in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: Rescue workers have successfully retrieved the bodies of four individuals, including three young girls, who had gone missing after the tragic incident of a boat capsizing in Koraput on December 28. Local authorities confirmed this heartbreaking news on Friday.

The four individuals were part of a group of five people who were feared to have lost their lives in the tragic accident that occurred in the Patali River. They had embarked on a journey from Badela village to Tansing village under Nandapur Block to attend a joyous wedding ceremony. Tragically, their boat capsized during their return journey.
Rescue workers managed to locate the lifeless body of Lalmani Sisa (50) shortly after the accident took place.
On Friday, personnel from the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force and Fire Services tirelessly continued their search for the remaining victims.
Authorities discovered four bodies in the Tansing ghat area of the river, according to a police officer. The deceased individuals have been identified as Shashirekha Alarb (35), her two daughters Nabina (14) and Puspanjali (5), and another young girl named Shanti Sisa (8).
