Two Local Suspects Arrested in Connection with Death of Brayden Wooten

December 28, 2023 – Xavier Hill and Bryson Lacey, two local suspects, have been apprehended and charged in connection with supplying contraband to Brayden Wooten, a 21-year old who was discovered deceased on December 23rd. The investigation was initiated when law enforcement officers found pills containing Fentanyl in Wooten’s possession.

Sheriff Lewis Tatum, in response to the incident, took immediate action by mobilizing additional resources from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department to aid in the capture and arrest of the individuals responsible for delivering the lethal contraband. In a press release, Sheriff Tatum emphasized, “I want to remind everyone that if you distribute illegal drugs to anyone in Hopkins County and that individual dies from an overdose, you will be held accountable for murder.”

Both suspects, Hill and Lacey, are now facing murder charges, and their bond has been set at one million dollars each.
