Initial reports from last week stated that an unidentified victim, heavily bleeding, was brought to the Medical Center in a black BMW sport utility vehicle with heavily tinted windows. However, until now, the details remained scarce.
According to Suarez, the shooting occurred in a residence on Ocean Avenue, just moments before 2:20 p.m. on December 18. The victim was then rushed to the hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly before 4 p.m. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head, ruling it a homicide.
The alleged shooter, who is a minor, has been formally charged with Aggravated Manslaughter, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Due to the nature of the case involving a juvenile, Suarez stated that no further details can be disclosed at this time.
