Nye County Sheriff’s Office Announces Arrests in Homicide Case

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Nye County Sheriff’s Office has made significant progress in the investigation of a recent homicide, with two suspects now in custody. However, a third suspect remains at large, leaving authorities on high alert.

On the early morning of December 26, NCSO dispatch received an urgent call from Jonathon Reyes, a homeowner residing on W. Wilson. Reyes reported that he had encountered an unknown individual trespassing in his backyard and had held them at gunpoint. Tragically, when NCSO personnel arrived at the scene, they discovered Reyes lifeless, succumbing to an apparent gunshot wound.

The investigation quickly revealed that the three suspects involved in this case were not strangers to each other. Edward Travis Parrett, aged 32, Clifton “C.J.” Lee Pfeifer Jr., aged 33, and Stefanie Erin Vazzo, aged 33, were identified as individuals with pre-existing connections. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office stressed that this heinous act did not seem to be a random occurrence.

Efforts by law enforcement led to the arrest of Pfeifer and Vazzo on December 26. However, Edward Travis Parrett, the third suspect, remains at large. Investigators have advised the public to exercise extreme caution as Parrett should be considered armed and dangerous.
