CLEBURNE, Texas (KLTV/Gray News) – A devastating car accident in Johnson County, Texas, resulted in the loss of six lives, including two innocent children, and left three others injured. The incident occurred near County Road 1119 and U.S. Highway 67, west of Cleburne.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision transpired when a minivan collided head-on with a pickup truck. The preliminary report suggests that the tragic accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the pickup truck, who was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 67 near County Road 1119 on Tuesday afternoon. Regrettably, the vehicle entered the northbound lane in a no-passing area, leading to the collision with the oncoming minivan.

Tragically, only one person out of the seven occupants in the minivan survived the devastating crash, and is currently in critical condition. The driver of the minivan, Rushil Barri, a 28-year-old resident of Irving, was among the deceased victims. It is worth noting that Barri was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The five other individuals who lost their lives in the devastating crash were identified as residents of Alpharetta, Georgia. This heart-wrenching list includes a 9-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, a 36-year-old man, a 60-year-old woman, and a 64-year-old man.
