CLEBURNE, Texas (KLTV/Gray News) – In a devastating car crash that occurred in Johnson County, Texas, six lives were tragically lost, including two innocent children. Furthermore, three individuals sustained injuries as a result of the collision.

Details of the Tragic Incident

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident unfolded when a minivan and a pickup truck collided head-on near County Road 1119 and U.S. Highway 67, located west of Cleburne. The preliminary report suggests that the 17-year-old driver of the pickup truck, traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 67 near County Road 1119, entered the northbound lane in a no-passing area, leading to the collision with the minivan.

Fatalities and Survivors

Tragically, the devastating crash claimed the life of the minivan driver, identified as 28-year-old Rushil Barri from Irving, Texas. Despite wearing his seatbelt, Barri succumbed to his injuries. Additionally, five other individuals from Alpharetta, Georgia, lost their lives in the accident:

Among the seven occupants of the minivan, only one individual survived, albeit in critical condition. The surviving passenger, also from Alpharetta, Georgia, is currently battling for their life.

In the pickup truck, two 17-year-old boys from Glen Rose, Texas, were present during the collision. Miraculously, both teenagers survived the accident; however, they sustained severe injuries. They were promptly rushed to Fort Worth hospitals for medical treatment. It is worth mentioning that the driver of the pickup truck was wearing his seatbelt, while the other occupant, unfortunately, was not.
