In a tragic turn of events, a man was brutally gunned down near Rambagh Chowk in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar on Wednesday. The victim, identified as Afrosh Khatri, was a respected owner of a popular Mutton shop in the bustling area of Rambagh Chowk.

Victim Tragically Loses Life on the Spot

Eyewitnesses stated that Afrosh Khatri was on his way to his shop when he was confronted by two assailants riding a motorbike. Without any warning, they opened fire on him, firing two fatal shots. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot, leaving the entire community in shock and mourning.

This horrifying incident prompted local residents to take immediate action. Outraged by the brutal murder, they compelled traders to shut down the market and staged a protest. They blocked the road and set tires ablaze, demanding justice for the senseless killing.

Police Launch Investigation to Restore Peace

Rakesh Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mithanpura police station, addressed the media and assured them that the police are actively working to control the situation and bring the culprits to justice.

“We received information about the murder of Afrosh Khatri in Rambagh Chowk and immediately dispatched our team to the crime scene. We are making every effort to identify the accused and restore peace in the area,” stated SHO Rakesh Kumar.

While the shocking incident has sent shockwaves through the community, the exact motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. In an attempt to gather crucial evidence, the police are currently taking statements from the victim’s family members.
