A man was apprehended by the police in the early hours of Thursday after allegedly threatening customers with a machete at a bar in Franklin County. The Chambersburg police received reports about the incident at Legendz Bar located on Hollywell Avenue at around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, the suspect, identified as Anyel Luis Nunez-Munoz, fled the scene on foot. However, with the assistance of the PA State Police, the authorities were able to apprehend Nunez-Munoz after a short foot pursuit, as stated in a press release by the Chambersburg police. The suspect, aged 27, is also accused of shattering multiple windows at the bar using a large rock. He is currently facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and other related offenses. Nunez-Munoz has been taken into custody and transported to the Franklin County Prison, according to police reports.

A man was arrested in the early hours of Thursday after reportedly wielding a machete and threatening patrons at a bar in Franklin County.
The Chambersburg police responded to a call at Legendz Bar on Hollywell Avenue at approximately 1 a.m.
“Upon arrival, the suspect, identified as Anyel Luis Nunez-Munoz, fled the scene on foot. After a brief pursuit, Nunez-Munoz was apprehended with the assistance of the PA State Police,” stated the Chambersburg police in a press release.
Police further revealed that Nunez-Munoz, aged 27, had caused significant damage to the bar by shattering multiple windows using a large rock.
The suspect is currently facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and additional offenses.
