Accident – Death – Obituary News : Two Lompoc men apprehended in connection with Miner’s Ace Hardware robbery in Arroyo Grande

Arroyo Grande, United States – In a recent development, the Lompoc Police Department has reported the arrest of two individuals in connection with a robbery at Miner’s Ace Hardware in Arroyo Grande. The suspects, identified as 27-year-old David Samulski and 31-year-old Alberto Montesdeoca, both residents of Lompoc, were taken into custody after a daring theft incident that involved a physical altercation with store employees.

According to the Lompoc Police, the incident unfolded on Wednesday morning at approximately 9 a.m. The two men entered Miner’s Ace Hardware store in Arroyo Grande and brazenly made off with various items. However, their audacious act was met with resistance from vigilant store employees who confronted the thieves. A scuffle ensued, during which one of the suspects resorted to using pepper spray against the employees. Seizing the opportunity, the duo managed to escape the scene.

Shockingly, this was not their first offense. Prior to the Arroyo Grande robbery, the two men were also suspected of carrying out a similar theft at an Ace Hardware store located in San Luis Obispo, as per police reports.

Fortunately, law enforcement personnel from the Lompoc Police Department were quick to respond. Later that same Wednesday afternoon, officers located both suspects and their getaway vehicle behind a motel in Lompoc. Upon sight of the officers, the men attempted to flee, but their escape was short-lived. The determined officers managed to apprehend both Samulski and Montesdeoca, bringing them to justice.

In a significant breakthrough, the stolen items from the robbery were recovered by Lompoc officers and detectives during the subsequent investigation. Additionally, the pepper spray, believed to have been used during the robbery, was also seized as evidence.

Following their arrest, Samulski and Montesdeoca were booked into the Lompoc jail for evading law enforcement officers. Furthermore, Montesdeoca faced additional charges of possessing Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, leading to his booking on these counts as well.

In a bid to ensure the suspects face justice for their crimes, both individuals were subsequently transported back to Arroyo Grande for booking on the charge of robbery.
