The Richmond Police Department has commenced an investigation following a distressing incident involving a patient and a police officer who were both shot at the mental health facility located within Chippenham Hospital.

In response to a reported shooting, officers were swiftly dispatched to Tucker’s Pavilion at Chippenham Hospital at 4:11 a.m. on Friday, December 22nd.
