WEST ELKON — The community of West Elkon gathered to bid farewell to Michael Eugene Gayhart II, a beloved resident who tragically lost his life in a devastating crash that also claimed the life of a Preble County deputy. The funeral, held on a somber day, served as a poignant reminder of the profound impact both individuals had on their community.

Michael Eugene Gayhart II, a resident of West Elkon, was one of the drivers involved in a fatal collision on State Route 503 in Preble County on December 18. The incident shook the community to its core, as they mourned the loss of two valuable lives.

Friends and family came together on December 27 at the I Am the World the World ministries to pay their respects during Gayhart’s visitation. The atmosphere was filled with grief and sorrow, as loved ones shared fond memories and exchanged comforting words.
