Arrest Made in Connection with Disturbance and Homicide in Austin

Authorities have apprehended a suspect in relation to a disturbance in Kyle, Texas, which led to the discovery of a homicide in Austin. The arrest was made following an investigation by deputies from the Hays County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

The incident unfolded on December 19 when HCSO deputies responded to a call reporting a disturbance in Kyle. During the course of their investigation, law enforcement officials uncovered information suggesting that 42-year-old David Urias Mejia-Villagran, who was involved in the disturbance, may have also been connected to a murder that took place on Willow Creek Drive in Austin.

The Austin Police Department (APD) promptly dispatched officers to the South Shore apartment complex, where they discovered the body of 28-year-old Jorge Ordonez-Perez in the parking lot. Ordonez-Perez had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
