Seven Suspects Face Charges in Connection to Death of 16-Year-Old Preston Lord
QUEEN CREEK, AZ – The Queen Creek Police Department has officially submitted a referral for charges against seven individuals in connection with the tragic death of 16-year-old Preston Lord, according to confirmation received by ABC15.

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has revealed that the charges encompass both juveniles and adults linked to the incident that resulted in Preston Lord’s untimely demise.
The events surrounding the case began on October 28 at approximately 9:07 p.m. when police responded to a location near Via del Oro and 194th Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered several minors leaving the area. At that time, no illegal activity was observed by the officers. However, within a few minutes, the same officers received a “high-priority” call reporting a potential crime in progress, which was later identified as a domestic violence situation.
Shortly before 10 p.m., the Queen Creek Police Department received a distressing 911 call regarding an assault in the vicinity of 194th Street and Via del Rancho. Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement discovered a juvenile male lying in the roadway. He was immediately transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries but tragically succumbed to them later.

“The Queen Creek Police Department can confirm that charges have been submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney against seven individuals. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the charges.
