Shocking Daylight Murder of Mutton Shop Owner Triggers Massive Protest in Bihar

In a horrifying incident, a mutton shop owner was brutally shot dead in broad daylight in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The incident occurred on Wednesday when two unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire at the victim, Afroz Khatri, while he was on his way to his shop at Rambagh Chowk. Speaking to India Today, one of the victim’s relatives, Alam, provided some insights into the tragic incident. He revealed that Afroz Khatri owned a mutton shop at Masjid Chowk and was heading towards his shop from home when he was ambushed by the two assailants, who mercilessly shot him dead.

Confirming the details, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mithanpura Police Station stated that they received information about the shooting at around 7 am. Upon reaching the crime scene near Ram Bagh Chowk, they discovered the lifeless body of Afroz Khatri with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The perpetrators quickly fled the scene on their motorcycle, leaving the community in shock and disbelief.

“Although there was a brief road blockade by the enraged locals, we managed to restore calm in the area. Our investigation is currently in progress, and we are determined to bring the culprits to justice,” the SHO assured.

This tragic incident has once again raised concerns about the safety and security of the general public in Bihar. The local authorities must take swift action to ensure the safety of the community and restore faith in the law enforcement system.
