Accident – Death – Obituary News : Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida – Tragedy struck on Wednesday afternoon when a helicopter crashed into a canal, resulting in the death of one man and leaving a woman injured. The victims have been identified as 71-year-old Clement Zanzuri and his daughter, 27-year-old Jordan Ann Zanzuri.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Southwest 184th Avenue and 120th Street. Multiple 911 calls alerted authorities to the helicopter crash, prompting a swift response from Miami-Dade Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue divers.

Rescue efforts were immediately launched as divers and tactical units rushed to the scene. Jordan Ann Zanzuri was the first to be spotted emerging from the water, while her father remained submerged. Divers worked tirelessly to locate Clement and successfully pulled him out of the water.
Both victims were swiftly transported to Jackson South Medical Center for treatment. Sadly, Clement Zanzuri succumbed to his injuries, while Jordan Ann Zanzuri is currently in stable condition and is expected to recover.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the ill-fated helicopter departed from Fort Myers and was en route to Miami Executive Airport. The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Bureau is currently conducting a thorough death investigation, while the National Transportation Safety Board will lead the inquiry into the crash’s cause.
The local community was left in shock as witnesses reported multiple helicopters hovering over the area. Vivian Alvarez, an area resident, expressed her concern, stating, “I had seen a helicopter flying super low next to my property, and soon thereafter, there were like five helicopters. It’s pretty scary that something like that happened around here.”
