Fatal Crash Claims the Life of 61-Year-Old Man in Medina County

HINCKLEY, Ohio — A tragic single-vehicle accident in Medina County has resulted in the death of a 61-year-old man. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening around 8:57 p.m. when a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe veered off the right side of Bellus Road in the town of Hinckley.

The victim, identified as Todd Rebick from Hinckley, was driving the Tahoe at the time of the crash. Unfortunately, he was ejected from the vehicle upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol officials, it has been determined that Rebick was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred. However, investigations have revealed that drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors in the crash.

Following the incident, Bellus Road was temporarily closed for approximately two hours to facilitate emergency response and investigation procedures. The crash remains under investigation at this time as authorities work to determine the precise cause of the accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol received assistance from the Hinckley Township Police Department, Hinckley Township Fire Department/EMS, and the Medina County Coroner’s Office during the incident.
