Pine Bluff Police Department Investigates Fatal Shooting Incident

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — In the early hours of December 28, the Pine Bluff Police Department swiftly responded to a distress call reporting gunshots in the vicinity of 313 E. 21st Street. The caller expressed concerns about a vehicle with shattered windows and the possibility of a person being inside.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a parked car just off 21st Street, which was found to be occupied by a lone male individual. The victim has since been identified as 31-year-old Zeavon Irby.

Tragically, it was apparent that Irby had sustained gunshot wounds and was unresponsive when authorities reached him. Despite their best efforts, Irby was pronounced dead at the scene.
