Accident – death – Obituary News : Ludhiana: A recent investigation by the Focal Point police has revealed that a 25-year-old man, identified as Pardeep Rai, died from a drug overdose injected by his two friends. The incident occurred in Sahnewal on November 16. The police have booked Sukhchain Singh and Varinder Kunar, both residents of Mundian Kalan and Mundian Khurd respectively, for their involvement in the death of Pardeep.

According to the complaint lodged by Pardeep’s brother-in-law, Satish Kumar, the family initially did not suspect any foul play. However, they later discovered that Pardeep was last seen with two men. Acting on this information, the police began their investigation by reviewing CCTV footage from cameras installed near the crime scene and on Ramgarh Road, where Pardeep’s body was found.

Fearing the consequences, the accused then disposed of his body on Ramgarh Road.

A case has been registered against the two accused under sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 201 (disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). However, the police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the case.
