Jharsuguda: 22-Year-Old Arrested for Murdering 14-Year-Old Boy

A shocking incident has taken place in Jharsuguda district, where a 22-year-old youth has been arrested for the murder of a 14-year-old boy. The accused, identified as Bikas Dishri, is a resident of Karlajori village, where the crime took place.

According to the police, the teenager and the accused went fishing together at a village pond. However, an argument broke out between them, which quickly escalated into a violent altercation. In a fit of rage, Bikas slit the boy’s neck with a knife and disposed of the body in the pond. The police have recovered the murder weapon from Bikas’s house.

This incident has shocked the local community, as such acts of violence are rare in this peaceful village. The police have assured the villagers that they will conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that justice is served.

Speaking about the incident, a police spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic event. Our team is working diligently to gather evidence and build a strong case against the accused. We will not tolerate such heinous crimes in our district.”
