20-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed in Argument in Delhi’s Paharganj Area

New Delhi, India – In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old man named Mahir, also known as Imran, was brutally stabbed to death following an intense argument in the Paharganj area of Delhi. The incident occurred on the evening of December 27, 2023.

According to the authorities, Mahir, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, was employed in a flex board shop in Paharganj. The police revealed that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.

The fatal altercation took place near Lakhan Chowk in Gali no 11, falling under the jurisdiction of the Gokalpuri police station. Upon receiving a distress call at approximately 9 pm, officials discovered Mahir’s lifeless body lying on the road near Lakhan Chowk.

During the investigation, a blood-stained knife was recovered at the crime scene, contributing to the evidence. Preliminary findings indicate that Mahir had a heated argument with a person named Faizal and his associates, which tragically escalated into a violent confrontation resulting in Mahir’s untimely demise.

To gather more evidence, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected samples from the scene and initiated a review of the CCTV footage in the surrounding area. The prime suspect, Faizal, is currently on the run following the incident.

The police have taken custody of Mahir’s body and transferred it to the GTB hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. The investigation is ongoing as authorities strive to bring justice to the victim and his grieving family.
