20-Year-Old Man Allegedly Stabbed to death in Delhi’s Paharganj Area

Delhi: A 20-year-old man, identified as Mahir, also known as Imran, was reportedly stabbed to death following a heated argument in the Paharganj area of Delhi, according to the police.

Mahir, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, worked at a flex board shop located in Paharganj.

The police informed that Mahir sustained multiple stab wounds in the abdomen.

The incident took place near Lakhan Chowk in Gali no 11, falling within the jurisdiction of Gokalpuri police station.

Authorities received a distress call on December 27 around 9 pm, reporting the stabbing incident. Upon reaching the scene near Lakhan Chowk, officials discovered Mahir’s lifeless body lying on the road.

A blood-stained knife was also recovered in close proximity to the body, as per the police.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased, Mahir, had engaged in a verbal altercation with an individual named Faizal and his associates.

The situation escalated rapidly, resulting in Mahir being fatally stabbed, added the authorities.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) meticulously collected samples from the crime scene and is currently analyzing the CCTV footage of the area.

The prime suspect, Faizal, is believed to be on the run following the incident, according to the police.

Concerning the investigation, the police have taken possession of Mahir’s body and transferred it to the mortuary at GTB hospital for post-mortem examination.
