CHICAGO (CBS) — In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy has been apprehended and charged with carjacking an elderly woman at gunpoint in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. The incident took place near 76th and Eggleston, where the boy and his accomplices stole the victim’s vehicle.

According to the police, the arrest was made shortly after 1:30 p.m. in the 700 block of West 81st Street. The authorities were able to identify the teenager as one of the culprits involved in the carjacking. The 78-year-old woman was left traumatized after the terrifying incident.
