Shooting Incident in Virginia Beach Claims One Life and Leaves Two Injured

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A tragic shooting incident unfolded in the 800 block of Riverbend Road in Virginia Beach, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving two individuals injured. The Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizens Services (ECCS) were alerted to the incident on December 24th at 12:12 A.M. through ShotSpotter alerts, followed by distress calls from concerned community members.

Upon swift response, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) discovered two male victims, both adults, who had sustained gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, one of the victims, identified as 43-year-old Antonio Wolfe from Portsmouth, Virginia, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The second victim was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Additionally, a third male victim, also wounded during the incident, sought medical attention at a local hospital and has since been released after receiving treatment.

The VBPD’s homicide detectives have embarked on a thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding this distressing event, which unfolded amidst chaos.
