Seti Tuaopepe, a loving family man in his 30s, had taken his children paddleboarding when they accidentally fell into the water. Despite the danger, Mr. Tuaopepe managed to keep his children afloat until a rescuer arrived on the scene at 2:35 pm on Tuesday. However, he was unable to save himself, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.

Tragically, Mr. Tuaopepe’s lifeless body was discovered around 6:15 pm, approximately four hours after he went missing.

Seti Tuaopepe, originally from Samoa, had pursued his studies in New Zealand before moving to Australia for work. His untimely demise has left friends and acquaintances devastated.

One friend mourned his loss on Facebook, stating, “You were kind, silent, and a very gentle classmate. You were a family man… My condolences to your wife, children, and family. Rest in peace and in the loving arms of our Lord.”

Penrith Beach, which opened just last week, has gained the nickname “Pondi” in reference to the popular Bondi Beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. However, the beach has received mixed reviews from visitors.

The NSW government has implemented strict rules for beachgoers, including prohibiting activities such as riding bikes, being dropped off by family members, and visiting without a booking. Some critics argue that these rules go against the spirit of Australian beach culture.

Penrith Beach operates from 7 am to 7 pm during the warmer months, from December 19 until March 3.
