A Storm Lake Man Arrested on Theft Charges Following Domestic Disturbance

A man from Storm Lake has been taken into custody on theft charges stemming from an incident earlier this month.

On Sunday, December 24th, Storm Lake Police Officers promptly responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 524 Seneca Street. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers made contact with a male individual identified as Master Sarapio, a 34-year-old resident of Storm Lake.

As per an official press release, the officers discovered that Sarapio was wanted on a Buena Vista County Warrant, which charged him with Theft in the 2nd Degree. This offence is classified as a Class D Felony. The warrant was issued following an incident that occurred on December 15th. The Aurelia Police Department received a report of stolen equipment worth $9,500 from a vehicle located in the 400 Block of Lake Avenue in Storm Lake.

Without encountering any resistance, Sarapio was promptly arrested and subsequently booked into the Buena Vista County Jail. His bail has been set at $5,000. The Aurelia Police Department provided valuable assistance to the Storm Lake PD throughout the course of the investigation.
