The nine-year-old girl who tragically drowned in floodwaters near Brisbane on Boxing Day has been identified as Mia Holland-McCormack. Mia’s untimely death has left her family and the community devastated.

“Mia was a spirited and adventurous girl who loved embracing life and seeking out mischief,” wrote Tamara, Ryan’s cousin, on the fundraiser page. “In this time of immense grief, any contribution towards funeral costs and other essential expenses will be greatly appreciated.”

As the news of Mia’s tragic fate spread, an outpouring of support and condolences flooded in from the community. The GoFundMe campaign has already raised over $8000 of its $10,000 target, with many individuals expressing their sympathy and love for Mia’s grieving parents.
