Man Allegedly Beaten to Death in Delhi’s Janakpuri Area: Saurav Upadhyay Victim of Old Enmity

A man was reportedly fatally assaulted in west London’s Janakpuri area, allegedly as a result of an ongoing feud, according to local authorities.

The police have apprehended two suspects and are currently conducting a thorough investigation, as they suspect that more individuals may have been involved in the crime.

“The deceased has been identified as Saurav Upadhyay, a resident of the Sagarpur locality. On Monday, a local hospital informed the Janakpuri police station about an individual being brought in dead,” stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer.

Following this, the victim’s brother Gaurav Upadhyay informed the police that he had learned about his brother’s fatal assault at the hands of several individuals.

During the course of the investigation, a witness was interviewed, who substantiated the complainant’s claims and testified to witnessing the accused individuals, identified as Bittu and Arman Khan, physically attacking the victim using sticks and punches.

“We have successfully apprehended Bittu and Khan. Our efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining identified suspects. Through our investigation, we discovered that a quarrel had taken place a few days prior between the victim and the accused, during which the deceased and his friends assaulted the accused individuals,” explained the Deputy Commissioner of Police.

“Based on preliminary evidence, it appears that the current incident is a retaliatory act in response to the earlier altercation,” added the Deputy Commissioner.
