Six Palestinian Youths Tragically killed in Israeli Drone Attack

Six Palestinian youths, including a minor, lost their lives in a devastating incident that occurred at dawn on Wednesday in the Nur Shams refugee camp, located east of Tulkarm. The victims were targeted and killed by an Israeli drone strike.

According to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, the Israeli drone attack resulted in the death of six young individuals, while several others sustained injuries. Shockingly, the occupation forces obstructed the ambulances transporting the injured to the hospital, causing further distress and delays in providing medical assistance.

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, released the names of the victims as Ahmad Anwar Hamarsheh (19), Ahmad Abdul Rahman Issa (19), Adham Wahid Fahmawi (23), Yazan Ahmad Wahid Fahmawi (23), Fares Hossam Fahmawi (19), and Hamza Ahmad Mustafa Fahmawi (17).

Tragically, another young person, aged 24, suffered critical head injuries as a result of the attack.

Highlighting the severity of the situation, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that Israeli occupation forces detained an ambulance carrying three seriously injured individuals from the Nur Shams camp for a distressing period of 65 minutes before finally releasing them.

The head of the Tulkarm Doctors Syndicate, Radwan Balibla, reported that an Israeli soldier even stabbed one of the injured individuals inside an ambulance. Additionally, other injured victims faced assault and beatings, including kicks, punches, and rifle attacks, while the soldiers threatened to kill them and deliberately prevented their timely access to the hospital.

WAFA correspondent revealed that the occupation forces, accompanied by military vehicles and bulldozers, launched a siege on the Nur Shams camp. They forcefully entered Tulkarm from the western axis and proceeded towards the camp in the east. The Israeli forces engaged in a thorough search of numerous homes in different neighborhoods within the camp.

Furthermore, Israeli soldiers positioned themselves on the rooftops of tall buildings both within and surrounding the camp, using them as observation points. Additionally, bulldozers demolished the camp’s infrastructure and caused significant disruption to communication and internet networks. The sounds of explosions reverberated throughout the area, intensifying the sense of fear and chaos among the residents.

This heart-wrenching incident marks the second Israeli raid in Tulkarm within just 24 hours. The raids have resulted in the destruction of properties belonging to innocent civilians and the bombing of their homes, further exacerbating the already dire situation.
