QUEENS – A tragic incident unfolded in Queens, resulting in the loss of a woman’s life and the injuring of a man, as reported by the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

According to the authorities, a 39-year-old man was driving a black Honda sedan when he arrived at the 103rd Precinct station situated at 168th St. and 91st Ave. in Jamaica shortly before midnight. Distressed and seeking help, the man informed the officers that both he and his 28-year-old female passenger had sustained gunshot wounds.
Tragically, the 28-year-old woman, identified as Clarisa Burgos from Brooklyn, succumbed to her injuries, according to the NYPD.
Reportedly, the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, while Clarisa Burgos suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. Regrettably, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services rushed the injured man to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he is currently in stable condition.
After conducting a thorough investigation, law enforcement determined that the incident occurred near 127 St. and Liberty Avenue in the South Richmond Hill section.
