Body Found in Wooded Area of Clay County Identified as Missing 18-Year-Old

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that a body discovered in a wooded area near Mosby, Missouri, has been identified as that of an 18-year-old who had been reported missing.

The body was found by a resident of Mosby on December 21 in a dense woodland. Initially, authorities determined that the individual had died by suicide.

However, the Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday that the body has now been identified as Andrew Mullin, an 18-year-old from Mosby, Missouri.

Mullin had been reported missing on December 5, and his last sighting was on November 27 in Mosby. Concerns were raised about his mental health at the time of his disappearance.

Expressing their condolences, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on December 27, extending their support to Mullin’s family and friends.

“Our thoughts and sympathies are with all of his loved ones during this difficult time,” the statement read.
